Every transaction you make with Trezor requires physical confirmation on the device itself — your computer screen alone is never enough. This two-step verification ensures that even if your computer is compromised, no funds can leave your wallet without your explicit approval on the hardware device.
Receiving cryptocurrency is straightforward, but verifying your address on the Trezor screen is a critical step you must never skip. A compromised computer could display a fraudulent address, redirecting incoming funds to an attacker.
1

Open Trezor Suite

Launch Trezor Suite on your computer and connect your Trezor device via USB. Enter your PIN on the device when prompted.
2

Select a Coin

In the left-hand sidebar, choose the account for the cryptocurrency you want to receive — for example, your Bitcoin or Ethereum account.
3

Click Receive

Click the Receive button in the account view. Trezor Suite will display a receiving address along with a QR code.
4

Verify the Address on Your Device

Your Trezor device will display the same address on its screen. Carefully compare every character of the address shown in Trezor Suite with the one on the device display. Confirm on the device only when you are satisfied they match exactly.
5

Share Your Address

Once verified, share the address or QR code with the sender. You can copy it to your clipboard or use the built-in share options in Trezor Suite.
Always verify the recipient address on your Trezor device screen, not just on your computer monitor. Malware known as a “clipboard hijacker” can silently replace a copied address with an attacker’s address. The Trezor screen is the only display you can trust.

Network Fees

Every transaction broadcast to a blockchain requires a network fee paid to validators or miners. Trezor Suite calculates a suggested fee based on current network conditions and lets you choose from several priority levels:
  • Low — cheaper, but may take longer to confirm during periods of high network activity.
  • Normal — a balanced fee suitable for most transactions.
  • High — prioritizes faster confirmation; useful when speed is important.
You can also set a custom fee if you have a specific target in mind. The fee is always shown clearly on your Trezor device screen before you confirm, so you are never charged an unexpected amount.
For Bitcoin transactions, Trezor Suite supports Replace-By-Fee (RBF). If your transaction is stuck in the mempool due to a low fee, you can bump the fee to accelerate confirmation — as long as the transaction has not yet been included in a block. Enable RBF by toggling the option in the Send form before broadcasting.
